Two to three unique facts about yourself: Became a business owner immediately out of college.  Almost every male member of my family from my mother’s side serve the Lord as ministers.  I helped to start Cleveland’s first true independent Christian college preparatory school.

Favorite verse or book of the Bible and reason: 1John 4:4 – “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” (NIV) I love this verse because I used to recite it with my children when they had bad dreams or were afraid of the dark.  I saw firsthand how the Lord used this verse in my children’s lives and helped them to realize that the Holy Spirit was real and active in their lives.

Define (in your own words) what it means to be a godly man in your generation:  Today more than ever in history, evil is front and center in our society.  To be a godly man today one needs to guard his heart against attacks and traps that appear seemingly out of nowhere.  I believe it is absolutely essential to present an example that leaves no doubt that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life.

Other than the presumed answer, “Follow Jesus,” what are one to three key lessons in life that you would encourage young people everywhere to consider? I believe that our choices in life are very clear…either black (evil) or white (of God) if we are in tune with the Holy Spirit.  One must be prepared to take a stand for what you believe.  Also, once you ascertain what God wants you to do then go for it without hesitation.

What are one or two dead end roads that you have found in your journey?  Following the crowd.  Making any decision based solely on money.
