Brazil, Day One
It’s been a long time since I have written an article. Since I embarked on the France-Kyrgyzstan trip last fall, many things have happened. I played a year of football. The Avengers came out. My baby sister was born. But now, here I am at the keyboard. And here I am in Manaus, Brazil: ready to try more things, eat more food, and do more work for the Lord. To you give some background: my dad had received a request to go down to Brazil to install a load of new telephones for a ministry that works down there, and he invited me to come along. I didn’t want to turn down a chance to go to Brazil (duh), so I said yes. We packed our suitcases, and we packed up … Read entire article »

Down Time in Bishkek

Happy Saturday everyone! Not that today is a holiday or anything, but I had a good day today, and I can’t wait to start sharing about it. And as always, I’ll start at the beginning. Because Dad is an ISP man, he got to meet some computer geeks this morning, and talk with them about servers, and voice-over IP, and a bunch of other stuff. I went with him, and learned some more about computer language. … Read entire article »

Hello, Kyrgyzstan

Well, my vacation is officially halfway over. Yesterday morning Dad and I bid adieu to France, after a week and a half of good times, and drove to the airport. There, we left on a plane going to Istanbul, Turkey, and then boarded another aircraft headed for Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The flights were a different experience for us after riding on Delta and Air France airlines all the time. Both planes were part of Turkish airlines, and … Read entire article »

A Tour of Paris

There are many beautiful things I’ve seen in my life, like the outer Hebrides in Scotland, or the Cherohala skyway in North Carolina. However, today I saw something that surpassed even those two experiences. But let’s catch up to this morning first before you find out what was so awe-inspiring that I saw. As you recall, Dad and I took yesterday and visited Paris, mainly Notre Dame. Today we returned to the city of lights, … Read entire article »

A Day In The City Of Lights

Today was a special day. There’s no other way to put it. It was special to Dad and me both because, for the first time ever, we visited the city of Paris! We left our apartment sometime after twelve to catch the bus, and somehow found our way into the big city. After getting our bearings straight, we decided that the first thing we would do would be to take a trip to the famous … Read entire article »

Observations
Hello again! Today was another observing day for me, and it started at breakfast. My normal breakfast is usually something different every morning, like pancakes, waffles, toast, or oatmeal. But I’ve been eating cereal every morning that I’ve been here. And it hasn’t been frosted flakes or anything like that. No, it’s been Muesli triple chocolate and Kellogg’s Extra, with bananas, cranberries, raisins, and pomegranates in it. Totally tres bien. I spent the morning in my room again doing schoolwork, and for lunch went with the guys to the same Turkish restaurant Dad and I went to on day two: Le Marma-Ris, in Ris Orangis. After we finished the delicious meal, I joined them going back to the Agape building, watching them as they worked. For the past few days. Dad … Read entire article »
